Enoch = Disciplined, or instructed Initiated

Irad= As fleet as a wild ass, or citizen.

Mehujael= Smitten of El, (the Mighty God), or life of El.

Methusael= Man of El, or man asked for.

Lamech=Man of prayer, or youth.

Adah=Beauty, Zillah=Tinkling or shade.

Jabal=Stream or leader of cattle, walker or wanderer. Tent of goat’s hair stretched over poles, (The original booth)

Jubal=Player on an instrument, stringed or wind.

Tubal-Cain=Brass Smith. Or Son of the lance, (spear).

Naamah=Pleasant or lovely.

Seth=Placed, put or appointed.

Enosh=Weak, mortal sickly man. (Psalm 8:4-6.)

Men thus at this point are divided into two streams, the one stream Virulent, Robust, Self-reliant, haughty. The other stream weak, mortal, sickly, absolutely dependant on God, daily trusting in Him, relying wholly upon God. To which stream do you belong?

Cainaan=Possessor or spearman.

Mahalel=In praise of God

Jared=Descent. Or Going down.

Methusaleh=Man of the missile, or When he is dead it will come.

Noah=Rest, Pity or Comfort.

Shem=Name or Fame Renoun.

Ham=Hot or Black

Japheth=Enlargement, spreading, or spread out.
